When we talk about Fire Tube boilers, what we are meaning is that the fire and resultant gases goes through
the tubes of the boiler, the water being in a tank that has the tubes going through it. When the fire
and gases go through the tubes, the heat is thereby transferred to the water and the heated water is then
circulated throughout your system. This means of transferring the heat to the water is one of the most cost effective methods known and therefore these boilers are the most widely used, for the small boiler horsepower application. These boilers are commonly available (in an A-type configuration) up to about 1,000 boiler horsepower.
We use an A-type configuration boiler for hot water or steam. This configuration easily lends itself to firing by solid fuels because of the open bottom in the boiler vessel itself.
A-type means that the water in the boiler is literally in an A shaped configuration. This is accomplished by the means of a water jacket that extends down the sides of the boiler housing itself and has the main tank as a part of it. This then is the tank that has the tubes through it and gives the A frame shape to the water.
We have the personnel and the experience to design for you a "perfect system" and get it installed and runing in hardly any time at all.
